Björn Borg is a global fashion brand, established in 1997, which is most known for its underwear and sportswear. The dutch headquarters can be found in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. The company asked me to design and create window displays for their SS15-collection, consisting of sportswear and underwear printed with monochrome marble prints. The windows then had to suit the aesthetic of the collection and the overall brand.
To be as cost-effective as possible, the aim was to make use of materials that could be re-esed. Therefore, it was necessary to focus on creating a minimalistic design. An attractive slogan was necessary and the project needed to be managed. Negotiation with suppliers had to take place and monitoring the budget was essential. Clear communication between warehouses managers and the Bjorn Borg store managers was a priority because the schedule had to be as efficient as possible.
I designed a range of black-and-white marble window displays. Together with two assistants, I built the windows in 7 cities across the Netherlands, Brussels and Belgium. The realization of a display involved, among others, building a cardboard structure and placing huge window stickers, which proved to be quite a challenge.
